KBS System
As part of the German Packaging Regulation (VerpackV) those that fill or distribute packaging are obliged to take back their containers after emptying and feed them into an economic recycling system.
For commercial packaging made from steel, companies in the steel industry, waste recycling industry and metal packaging industry have joined a cross-industry initiative and established a national return and recycling scheme called Kreislaufsystem Blechverpackungen Stahl GmbH an abbreviated to KBS.
Croma Lacke has joined the KBS System. This enables customers to dispose of empty CROMA metal packaging free of charge at over 300 KBS acceptance locations in Germany.
